For Make Believers Friday – Artistpreneurs, 2012 Is Our Year!

“We must all own our identities on the Web.” ~ Rochelle Riley

Told you!

O.K. that was a childish.

As a kid, I hated when my baby sister – who although nearly four years younger – was often right about something. And after I dismissed her and whatsomeever she was right about turned out to be true, she would happily  jab her little finger in my face and tease – “Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. I. Told. You!”

Despite that annoying memory, the moment I read Michael Wolf‘s article , Why 2012 will be the year of the artist-entrepreneur, that’s all I could think about.

Talk about validation. This piece brilliantly supports my purpose for starting The Monice Magazine ~ For Make Believers. And it outlines tools  – ie. EBooks, Video and Content Distribution, to name a few – that we, as artistpreneurs, are using to make it do what it do.

I’m telling you, Fam, the story is dope. And I’m not just saying that, because I was right. LOL!

Another person that is right is my friend Rochelle Riley, who I will be profiling on For Make Believer Friday soon.

Aside from being the most prolific writer I know and an award-winning journalist and columnist for The Detroit Free Press, she runs Church Street Media – a communications, business development and social media company. CSM designs marketing campaigns, develops websites and helps small businesses, community groups and future stars make their voices heard. Its primary goal is to teach anyone and everyone to blog so they can offer their own message to the world.

Pretty cool, huh? First, I share an article confirming that you are the one you’ve been waiting for. Then, I suggest someone who could assist you on your artistpreneur journey…which by the way, should be starting or continuing today.

As in, right now.

Seriously, you’re still reading? O.K. That’s it.

Chop, Chop, Fam! It’s already the sixth day of January. Get the lead out your ass and get on the good foot! Pronto!
