Thank You Thursday – Grateful For The Lesson, But…

“The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson.” ~ Tom Bodett

I used to be a very impatient person… Actually, if you ask my husband, I still am. 🙂 LOL!

But I’m not anymore. Honestly.

Why I’m no longer the impatient terror I once was? I guess, the older I’ve gotten, life has taught me that I can’t get what I want when I want all the damn time.

A good thing to learn, right? Trust, every day, I thank Baby Jesus for pounding this life lesson into my heard head.

But every now and again, I question the Universe for those other lessons. You know, the ones you learn just as you come thiiiiis close to reaching a goal, achieving success or breaking though?

My granny used to tell me that there was always a blessing in the lesson.

Well, a sister artistpreneur and I are were both lamenting about this yesterday and we both agree…Just once can we get the blessing without failing? Without drama, trials or tribulation?

Seriously. Haven’t we been grinding long and hard enough?

Or….Is there still something more we still need to learn?

Fam, I don’t expect you to have the answers. And I apologize that this post isn’t rainbows and butterflies as usual.

But every once in a while, I have to ask why. Doesn’t make me any less grateful. Just more human, I think. Which at the end of the day, I’m most grateful for after all.

Wait a minute…Is that another lesson? Are you freaking kidding me?

Alright. Fine. Obviously there’s no escaping this lesson-blessing conundrum. So, Fam, I need to hear from you. Got any lesson-blessing experiences you want to share? If so, the floor is yours. It’s time to testify.

Specifically, what was your biggest lesson and blessing?
